Stop hiding who you are by wearing a mask

Stop hiding who you are by wearing a mask

Sometimes we wear masks trying to be whatever everyone wants us to be instead of loving who we are. We don’t need to pretend or change ourselves to please someone else.

We are all created differently with different interests or passions. I remember when I was in my teens and I hid the fact that I loved N’sync and Britney Spears. My so-called friends didn’t like their music and it made me embarrassed. So, I put on a mask hiding the ‘pop’ side of myself.

It wasn’t until I realized that God made me just the way I am and it doesn’t matter the color of your skin, you can like whatever you want. Don’t let race, age, or your background cause you to wear a mask. Embrace your uniqueness, whatever that is. If someone doesn’t like you for who you are, then they weren’t meant to be apart of your journey anyway 💚

  1. I have had to learn the hard way that hiding who you are only delays the inevitable and you just cannot let others’ opinions of you ruin your life. Praise God for His ability to make us unique and perfect in His eyes!
